The Commissioner of the Department of Corrections, Brian Owens set an execution date for Nicholas Tate for Tuesday, January 31 at 7:00pm. On Tuesday, January 31st, the Board of Pardons and Paroles voted to deny clemency.
Mr. Tate was convicted of the December 11th, 2001 murder of Chrissy and Katelyn Williams.
Please plan to attend a vigil near you on Tuesday, January 31 at 6:30 PM. Information on vigils can be found on GFADP's site. Members of the IHM community will be gathering at the steps of the Georgia State Capitol at 6:30 PM if you would like to join us.
Please continue to hold the family of Chrissy and Katelyn Williams and Mr. Tate and his family in your prayers during this difficult time.
